L&S Asparagus is a family farm owned and operated by Laurelle and Stefan Hammerback. L&S is certified organic and works hard to include regenerative practices in their fields focusing on plant health. Their organic asparagus is hand-picked by snapping above the soil, leaving behind any tough white fibrous bottoms. This allows for little waste, if any, with the final product. They hydro cool their asparagus to ensure freshness and to provide you with the highest quality product available.

L&S Asparagus is certified organic. They incorporate no-till production on the farm, including cover-cropping between rows and using geese and other animals to keep weed pressure down among the plants. Sheep keep the areas surrounding the fields mowed and maintained. To reduce water usage, they leave new asparagus plants unwatered for the first year. This prevents any future irrigation needs outside of severe drought years, conserving both water and labour.
